When I walked in to CrossFit idoG the first time less INCREDIBLY out of shape. I hadn’t worked out on probably a year and a half before then. The coach Brian McFadden was awesome in his instruction and he was extremely helpful. He dialed in a workout to get me jump started and phased me in to the prescribed workouts. The staff there also gave me nutritional instruction. When I paired that up with crossfit, I lost 40 lbs in about 4-5 months and got into the strongest and most fit state of my life. Sure, it was hard, but the coaches were always there to encourage me. Its DEFINITELY worth it.!
In a matter of a month I already feel Crossfit has changed my life. It’s bringing out qualities in myself I never knew I had, and enhancing the ones I was already aware of. I’m being challenged in ways I never thought I could endure. There have been moments when I’ve wanted to quit, but the community at crossfit Idog has been so supportive and encourages me to keep pushing forward. The skills I’m learning (physical and ESPECIALLY mental) are carrying over into all aspects of my life; spiritual, personal, and professional. I can’t even fully express the joy & gratitude I feel. Oh, and the trainers are AMAZING. Thank You!
Hey B I got your message lol and next Tuesday sounds great. I’m excited and scared because I know whats in store…its scary because I’m really going do it. Brings me to tears just to think about it and my walk with Jesus is REALLY about to start! You’re like the angel bringing me back to him. Its crazy because when I think of meeting up with you I’m not even thinking about working out. All I can seem to think about is my walk with Jesus and how my life is about to be back on track. My mom should be home around 6 and I can talk to her about the times. Most likely it would be after us 545 class but let me double check and ill get back to you tonight. Is there a certain dress code for church?
“Thanks bro…. I was thinking about cheeseburgers and sitting on my couch and needed a little motivation… just got back from a lil 3 mile run. You da man!
Thanks for everything bro. I can never forget those crossfit memories man
Hey B just wanna thank u as well for the memories… real grateful bro.
I can’t speak for everyone else, but I’m sure everyone would agree with me–all this would not be possible without you. You’ve been a positive role model, showed me how to turn fitness/health into a lifestyle (while keeping it fun and dynamic), and showed me how to apply what we do in every aspect of my life. I’m not just much stronger now, but I’m a better person than I was prior to joining your team–our team. We’ve all become better and we now use what you taught us to constantly push each other to become even more better, more stronger, and more dedicated.
So thanks again Brian, and “Thank you” to all of you too. Thanks for the support and motivation to fight through the pain and become better. “We’re in this together”
Nothing is more motivational than watching your friends push past an obstacle to success and have them right next to you cheering you on to do the same. I definitely see myself and the people around making huge strides of improvement with this crossfit program, both mentally and physically. I’m just glad to be a part of the team.
I’ve consistently found myself thinking deeply about the QOD’s and the explanations behind them. Keep them up. They definitely help when I feel like I have a “loaded bar” on my mind.
Thanks again everyone.
It has been less than a blink of an eye that this group was put together. But it seems as though we’ve all known each other since childhood. I truly have brothers I can rely on. And I know that this positive environment will just keep pushing us towards our mental and physical goals. I’ve seen amazing things with this gym and I pray that this friendship will never end. Thanks coach for your commitment to us and everyone for being a big part of my life.
Now lets get through another month and smile a little more when we look at ourselves in the mirror. Like I said, “I can’t wait to go to the mall shirtless just to buy a shirt.”
Mind, body, and soul. Keep on motivating the world!
Thank you for the constant words of inspiration and encouragement. Your message last night touched everyone there. I also wanna thank your family for welcoming us into their home and allowing us to participate in such a gracious event. I left feeling truly inspired. I’m glad to be part of such an amazing team and look …forward to growing together with you and all the brothers.
Brian! Bro, thanks so much for all of the workouts you’ve taught me. It’s sad that I hardly have time nowadays to even work out with you, bernie, gregor, anthony, and the rest of them… But if theres anything I’m thankful for, it’s the exercises and mental preparation you’ve taught me. Whenever I’m in the exercise room… during track, I usually do the workouts you’ve always taught us… and whenever I run I always keep in mind your “When the pressures on, I get better.”
I hope to definitely work out with you guys, and good luck with the CrossFit around the world thing you guys were planning! Change some lives out there.
Hey bro just wanted to update you on my Crossfit journey. Today marks the day that I have lost 20 lbs! Thanks so much for you encouragement and support from afar! Anyone who is reading wondering if you need to start Crossfit with Brian I’ll help you answer it… YES YOU DO! thanks bro!
Brian- still sore. Yup, 2 days later. But I had so much fun with you guys. Well worth it, you’re a great and motivating trainer. Good thing for me that this is true, 2 Cor. 12:9 “my grace is sufficient for you for MY POWER is made perfect in weakness.”

B, I just had an hour long talk with God on my way home. I confesed to him what I struggle with and what areas of my life I need him to go to him instead of relying on myself. I was crying in my car man. I had tears of happiness to know that whatever has happened in the past God forgives me. I felt both weak and powerful at the same time. It was like time had stopped and it was only God and I on the freeway. It was the song “Times”. I gave it to him straight up. I just wanted to share this with you and let you know that I’m blessed to have you in my life. I thank you for sharing the good news and brining me to God. Not only that but always being there for me and keeping me accountable. You are a true man of God.
Brian I just want to let you know that I am thankful that I have you to lead as an example and that we always learn from each other. I am so lucky to have a God fearing man in my life that is soo loving to others. You are truly a blessing in my life and I admire your passion for Christ.
